Prince Henry The Navigator
Prince Henry the Navigator was born in the year of 1394. Prince Henry the Navigator was the third child of King John I of Portugal. He was the king at that current time. The founder of the Aviz dynasty, and of Philippa of Lancaster, the daughter of John of Gaunt. His background is half English (by birth) and half Portuguese. The reason why was because I think he was born in English and his mother and father are Portuguese. He still says he is full Portuguese. He was born with a rich family of course his father was king. His father impacted him and he impacted his father how you ask. He told his father to invade some cities. His father told him about being a king and sailing plus taking over the cities.
Henry didn’t not sail by him self for more then 18 miles. When he was round 20, Henry encouraged his father to conquer Ceuta. A Muslim city. Later on his father gave Henry the city. His father said’,’ I give you this city to protect and keep safe.” Henry did not go on any voyages. He trained man to become sea man. They were the ones that sailed. Remember he never sailed more then 18 miles. The only time he ever sailed was with his father. On his crew he trained many man from a doctor to a sea caption and even more. Later on he opened a school to train sea man. He had teachers that already had experience.
Henry never sailed. He only lost man when it was a long sail. Like one was when he sailed to the tip of Africa. Many men were lost. They died from disease and more. The bad news was that they bought back Africa people as slaves. They were traded and bought. Image being bought with money as a slave. Many children and parents lost there family. That was the bad news. He was not sailing with them he never sailed. Well later on when he died another man found a way to India. So he did do something. It took a long time to get there.
When invading with his father he found new things. After a few years he tried to invade the country that owned the city Ceuta with was a Muslim country. He failed the Muslim did not finish killing all the men. They keep on conquering. Until Henry said he wound give the city that him and his father invaded back. The two countries became friends and they started to trade. They traded spices that both countries never had before. So Henry found many things for his country.
Henry was never rewarded unless you call a large statue of him a reward. Like I said before he never sailed so he also proved that the world is not flat a little. Henry also rewarded his country with many things like new plats animals. He became very famous. He rewarded his crew after sailing to the tip of Africa. Like I said African people were brought as slaves. I hope you enjoyed.
